Jacob's 3rd Birthday (Part 1)

The more that I think about it, the more I realize it's actually pretty nice to be a kid having a birthday mid-week. Really, the fun lasts more than one day. Jacob's 3rd birthday festivities started promptly this morning and continued right until bedtime and will continue through the weekend and the big bash on Saturday.

Today, he was very well thought of, from phone calls to Facebook comments to go ole Aunt Colie driving all the way from Atlanta to wish him greetings. We had a low key evening after my arrival from work, opening gifts...just the four of us.

Around 6, the Heberts treated us, along with KK and boyfriend Johnny and Aunt Colie to a delicious birthday feast at a local hamburger joint, The Times Grill.

We then returned home for a cupcake and ice cream celebration. It was quick...but big...fun.

At the end of the night, I asked Jacob "Did you have a great birthday or what?" His response? "What." Ahhhh. 3 year olds. Holy cow. 3 years old!!!

Jacob has literally been asking for this camera for months. It really takes pics. I smell a new blog in the future!

Why couldn't he do this for his own birthday???
