Back From The Beach

Well, I've been back a few days now and Suzanne got back Friday. We had an eventful week in RoseMARY Beach with the Hebert clan. The Reunion House lived up to its billing and we used every single bit of the 6600 square feet it provided us. I was disappointed that I did not get to make my famous grilled cheese or PB&J. D. But I did very much enjoy hanging out with our niece, nephew, and Suzanne's cousins, the Byrnes'. We do not see the Byrnes or the Dunns very often and it is nice when we can see them a bit.

I will add pictures each day this week as I don't want to overload everyone on pics.

Back To The Beach

Suzanne has reason to smile. For the first time this pregnancy, she has been cleared to travel; ironically, with only about 5 more weeks to go. If you wonder how she is feeling, I will give you the answer she gives those who ask her in person. She says "Better than I have felt throughout the entire pregnancy." This weekend, we will venture to Rosemary Beach, just outside of Destin. I will go for a half week and Suzanne will stay the full week. It is pretty much an Hebert family reunion with the various sisters coming and going throughout the week.

No doubt, the highlight for me is the fact that my nephew/godson and niece will be there along with Suzanne's young cousins. There is a bonafide gameroom in the house where we are staying and I anticipate spending more time in there with the kids than on the beach. Should be fun. I have already committed to cooking the kids my specialities, handed down from my dad...Grilled Cheese and PB&J. D. I have received my video camera and I hope to come back with some nice pictures and maybe a video or two for the blog.

Happy Fathers Day!

"Joyous Dads," today is a day of celebration for those of us who REALLY carry the weight throughout a woman's pregnancy. If you don't believe me, just look at the pictures. A man has many important tasks before the baby is born. Here, you can see one of the many pieces of machinery I (and in this case my father) have put together.

For my efforts, I was awarded with some baby shower gifts of my own two weekends ago. These were from--you guessed it--my parents. There are not many Rebel fans around here. And if you know me well enough, you know that means the Red & Blue will be on full display as much as possible.
I think we are set for gamedays this fall...which, by the way, are only 76 days or so away!!! Hotty Toddy!

Thanks to a loyal blog-watcher, I have been able to locate all the hostesses of Suzanne's shower on digital imagery. Look for the captions underneath if you want to know who's who...for those who haven't seen the previous blog, start with that and it will explain some of what I am talking about.

I also must share that I partook in an a two hour ordeal that blew away Daddy Boot Camp. I attended the Breastfeeding 101 class with Suzanne. She was very sweet, never asking me to attend with her, but the teacher of the class laid a guilt trip on me when she called to confirm last night. I am very happy I went. I will spare you most of the silly details; in fact, I will only tell you some of the activities involved stuffed pumpkins and a toy wolf. Plus, our teacher shared with us she spent more than 10 years of her adult life breastfeeding! That is all for now. Take care, Davis

Suzanne's Shower

Sorry for the "Jumbo Delay" between posts. Things are very hectic right now, although I'm very happy to report--that there is nothing major to report. Su is doing as good as any 331/2 week pregnant lady can do. She had a very nice shower given in her honor two weekends ago and pictures are slowly coming in. I decided to post a few of them and when more come in, I will update things.

I can't begin to say enough about the hostesses of the event; Erin and Renee (two of Su's sisters pictured above), her two other sisters Nicole and Mary Kathleen (KK) and four of her very good friends; Aimee, Nicole P., Casey Daigle, and Mimi Phillips. Everyone has been so good to us through this pregnancy and this event was a reflection of that. I know Suzanne was very grateful for all who partook.

I will continue to search for more pictures as I would at least like to get all the hostesses on here. Also, expect baby room pictures in the near future. The chair is on its way and the room will be complete! I will have a MegaGood time showing off my handywork.
