It has been a long time since I've posted and some long nights since I've posted! Poor Patrick has been sick for the better part of a month. Lots of congestion, coughing, and unfortunately ear infections. He's already had three of them. Today, we took Patrick to an ear, nose, and throat specialist at the recommendation of his pediatrician. We knew what was coming. The ENT specialist recommended tubes. We have decided to take her advice. We're told it's very unusual for him to have had such frequent ear infections in the summer and fear it would be worse in the winter. Patrick also has an issue with his tongue that would require a small procedure and anethesia. Luckily, we'll be able to have these two things done at once by the same doctor. We'll call Friday to set up the appointment and I'll do my best to keep you in the loop. Outside of his issues, Patrick remains a very happy and FAT boy. He weighs 17 pounds!!! Here he is displaying one of his homemade Halloween shirts from mommy.

Bless that sweet baby's heart. He looks like he would be the healthiest baby in the world!! Patrick,I think you look like your big brother in these pix. Jacob,I am so glad you are providing so much entertainment for your mommy and daddy~~ you are your daddy's son for sure! I want to jump through the computer and grab both of you and bring you to our house!!!

So sorry to hear Patrick has to have tubes and procedure on his tongue, but I pray all his ear infections will be over as a result of all of this..He is getting so big and is so precious..He looks so much like Jacob to me..Y'all have a great weekend and will be praying for his surgery..
Tubes are a Godsend; John Emerson had them at 13 months and again at 23 months. They will change both your life and Patrick's life for the better.
Both Jacob and Patrick are handsome as can be!
