It has just dawned on me that the four posts in the month of September have been in reference to things that happened in August!
May we take a moment to reflect on present times. It's been a very busy month with plenty of fun activities and not so fun activities.
Jacob and Patrick got a visit from pops a few weeks back and a visit from Uncle Gege and cousin Hayes the week before that.
Right around the time of my father's visit, Patrick started to get sick. We were concerned about RSV and the doctor even prescribed breathing treatments although the congestion never got into his lungs. Little P is just now getting over this.
Meantime, he went on his first swim this month and has started eating rice cereal.
With all the kiddo stuff going on, the Heberts were nice enough to babysit yesterday afternoon to let Su and I celebrate our ninth wedding anniversary (technically the 22nd). I planned a romantic trip to the movies and Chik-fil-A afterwards. Actually, this is all that pleases Suzanne at the moment and she'd tell you she simply like a night of rest as a gift.
Little P man is still not sleeping through the night. We have let him "cry it out" two night's running so let's hope the third time is the charm!

Tell your daddy that Bebe is VERY pleased that he finally updated the blog!! The new pix are so good. Pops is especially proud of not only the 3 generation Brister men picture but also of you in the NY Yankees hat, Jacob.That was his favorite team for a long time. Patrick,your dress up pictures are SO good,and it makes Bebe sad that you are growing way too fast. You need to stop until I can see you again. By the way I wore my Saints tee that Mommy made me today so we matched. I was so glad to see the blog update~~tell Daddy to keep them coming. :-)

Wonderful pictures, and I love the one of the boys in Patrick's crib! I really hope the "crying it out" is working, you deserve some rest! And actually John Emerson has the same monkey pj's that Patrick is wearing in his Bumpo picture. We will be in Louisiana for Thanksgiving, and I'm planning a trip to Mandeville on Sunday, Nov. 22. Would love to see you!

Love all the new pictures...Patrick sure does favor Ward to me, and his big brother, too..There is no denying Jacob and Patrick are brothers...So, so cute!..Loved reading the conversations between you and Jacob...Aren't they the funniest little things?..Hope Patrick will soon start sleeping all night..Hotty Toddy!!
