Mardi Gras Mambo! (Belated edition)
Tis the Lenten season, which means we have just wrapped up another week of Mardi Gras festivities. Still weird for a Mississippian, as school is out, and most families are on vacation--and yes, they get spring break too! I was hoping to post a picture of Jacob with ashes on his head from this morning but you cannot tell anything from the pictures. So instead, here are some shots from the weekend in New Orleans and Jacob's first Mardi Gras.

--love your new pictures,Jacob.I wish we could have seen you after the Ash Wednesday service with the cross on your forehead.I'm so glad you're starting early learning about your Jesus.He loves you even more than we do,and that's ALOT!By the way,even tho everyone says you look just like your daddy,I think the picture of you in your stroller looks just like your Paw-Paw Ron.(--hope I spelled Paw-Paw right)

love the mardi gras pics - looks like he stayed awake and enjoyed it all :) i never commented on heidi's photos, but they are gorgeous!! you will love having them, as he and myrt and just growing up way too fast!
